I am a 1990 graduate from Pampa High School in Pampa, Texas. I then graduated in 2010 from Amarillo College in Amarillo, Texas. I then graduated in 2012 from West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and also an Associate of Arts in Education.
My Teacher certificate is in Special Education.
In the summer of 2017, I attended an Algebraic Thinking conference at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
In the summer of 2018, I attended a Geometric Thinking conference at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
This will be my 6th school year to teach at Moreno Junior High and at Beeville ISD. I currently teach Math Intervention.
Prior to this school, I started teaching in 2013 as a co-teacher in the Math department in the subject area of Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry and Math Models at Lee High School in Midland, Texas. In 2012, I student taught Resource Math at Bowie Middle School in Amarillo, Texas. I have also been an instructional assistant in a Resource room at Lee Elementary in Amarillo, Texas. Life and family experiences from childhood and on have greatly impacted my teaching experience for the better.
I am married with three children. Two girls are grown and one child is in 10th grade at AC Jones High School. I also have one grandaughter and another ony the way in December of 2019.
Some of my hobbies include family time, movies and reading inspiration novels. I am currently going back to college to obtain my Master’s in Special Education with a Diagnostician Certificate.
