I am a 1995 graduate of Anchorage Christian School in Anchorage, Alaska. I attended two years of college at UAA, The University of Alaska Anchorage campus. I finished my degree at Wayland Baptist University.
Bachelors degree in Justice Administration
Texas Teachers alternative certification
Certification in math and core subject for grades 4-8
This is my first year teaching at Moreno junior high. However it is my second year teaching for the Beeville ISD. Last year I taught at Thomas Jefferson our 5th-6th grade campus.
This year I am excited to teach 7th grade math while coaching high school girls basketball and junior high track.
Prior to my career as a teacher in South Texas, my first position was as a high school Algebra I/Geometry teacher at my alma mater Anchorage Christian School. I was a teacher and a coach there for 13 years.
Teaching is my passion and I love working with children, but my summers are far from relaxing. When I’m not in the classroom, I am an offshore fisherman in Bristol Bay, Alaska during the summer months. I have had this “summer job” since my junior year of high school and just completed my 22nd year in the bay.
I have been happily married to my wife Rachelle since 1999. We met in college and later I coaxed her into moving to Alaska. She said she would try it for a year. She did 13 years! All of our three children where born there and are proud to call themselves Alaskan.
I enjoy playing basketball, snow skiing, spending the day at the lake, out on the water, wakesurfing.
